#NoGreyNoWay
There has been a challenge posed to my circle of friends and myself to read the book or see the movie before judging. That negates one of the very reasons I’ve chosen not to engage in 50 SHADES – to AVOID HOW IT WOULD AFFECT ME.
Granted, some have already done some or all of these things listed or read the books (Fifty Shades Trilogy)
or bought tickets, but that’s okay. No Condemnation
Now you know. It is ignorance that usually kicks our butts. But hey peeps, we need to do more speaking up for and protecting of each other even when it’s a “touchy” topic AND we need more self-accountability.
Please spiritually and logically inform yourselves so that we don’t become like many, who can’t shake the images and words of the book out of their minds. We know once it gets in there, it manifests in our lives unless we do some serious damage-control.
MOTG: Proverbs 4:23 “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life”
There are no take-backs on what we hear, see, and read so please love and respect yourselves enough to protect yourselves enough to join us in saying #NoGreyNoWay
MOTG: Psalm 101:3 “I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me.”
I, and we in the #NoGreyNoWay movement, love and care for you very much!
Next week, an article on HOW PORN/EROTICA DRIVES UP THE DEMAND FOR SEX TRAFFICKING.
Just a few SCRIPTURAL REFERENCES.
Philippians 2:12b
…work out (cultivate, carry out to the goal, and fully complete) your own salvation with reverence and awe and trembling (self-distrust, with serious caution, tenderness of conscience, watchfulness against temptation, timidly shrinking from whatever might offend God and discredit the name of Christ).
Psalms 101:3
I will set no base or wicked thing before my eyes. I hate the work of them who turn aside from the right path; it shall NOT grasp hold of me. (We do not hate the people but the work).1 Thessalonians 4:3-5, 7-8
…this is the will of God, that you should be consecrated (separated and set apart for pure and holy living): that you should abstain and shrink from all sexual vice, that each one of you should know how to possess (control, manage) his own body in consecration (purity, separated from things profane) and honor, not to be used in the passion of lust like the heathen, who are ignorant of the true God and have no knowledge of His Will…God has not called us to impurity but to consecration [to dedicate ourselves to the most thorough purity]. Therefore whoever disregards (sets aside and rejects this) disregards not man but God, Whose very Spirit Whom He gives to you is holy, chaste, pure…
