There comes a time in everyone’s life when they have a revelation about one thing or another. We go through life situations in hopes to come out ahead of the game. At this current time, my plate has been so full with life situations that I’ve hardly had time to stop and smell the roses. I’m married with two teenage children, need I say more? =D
Upon attending a recent worship service at Shepherd of the Hill in CA, the announcement personnel inquired as to how many people were avid bloggers. I reluctantly raised my hand because I didn’t know what was exactly going to happen next. I knew I already had so much on my plate that I could not add another task, but the holy spirit advised me to complete the card and I was obedient.

Walls Fall Down is one of the best books that I have read in a very long time. Walls Fall Down was written in historical fiction so the reader can feel as if they are right there in biblical times. Author and Pastor Dudley Rutherford takes you back to the story of Joshua and the Battle of Jericho. I’m not a person that understands and recount stories from the bible; however, Pastor Rutherford’s writing makes every word jump off the page and right into your mind. I felt as if I were there walking around the Walls of Jericho with the hand-picked army. I felt as if were on the battlefield with Joshua and Caleb.
After getting through little faith situations on the battlefield, Pastor Rutherford takes you to real life situations with Bible Scriptures to accompany each scenario. Pastor Rutherford, tells countless real life stories that will resonate in your spirit. After you read this book I don’t think there will be one soul that can tell me one of the stories didn’t touch them personally. I believe Pastor Rutherford covered every life situation that could arise. Situations from marital issues to drug use. He tells real life stories about real life people who have gone through the battlefield and have come out crumbling down the mountain that originally seemed to consume their lives day after day.
To be completely honest. the book is written for the reader to complete 1 chapter a day for 7 days; however, I couldn’t put the book down; therefore, I read a bit more each day because I wanted to find out what was going to happen next. Needless to say, I was thirsty for more. I wanted to know if Joshua would eventually rise up and accept the responsibility to complete the process that Moses started by obeying God? Everyone had faith in Joshua, except Joshua.
Everyone encounters his or her own Jericho on a daily basis. We encounter various trials and tribulations such as:
- Death
- Health
- Finances
- Marriage
- Children
- Work
and many more other challenges of every day life. Day 1 of Walls Fall Down focuses on “Shrinking the Walls” – it shows you how to focus on God instead of your problems. When I have a problem or situation that starts consuming my every thought, I begin to feel overwhelmed and sometimes I don’t quite know how to handle the situation without consistently worrying. I know I’m supposed to pray, give it to God, and have faith that God will handle the rest. However, Pastor Dudley explains just how we are to combat those life issues and knock down the walls of our Jericho.
Our mountain is NEVER bigger than God. No matter what we face in life, we are to be obedient to God’s word. According to His word, we are to seek him and all things of God will be added unto us. Proverbs 3:6
I suggest purchasing not only 1 copy for yourself, but also for a friend or family member. There’s really no sense in picking and choosing a particular person to share a copy of the book with. Walls Fall Down is a book for everyone. I don’t know one single person that this book would not benefit right this very moment. We are human; therefore, we are either going through something, coming out of something, or getting ready to go into something. So, why not have your weapon of warfare ahead of time so that you can knock down your wall of Jericho before it ever gains strength in your mind.
I have always loved the #7. Now that I’ve read Walls Fall Down the #7 has taken on a whole new meaning in my life. Current situations that interrupted my spirit person on a daily basis no longer hinders me. I know in my heart that God has chosen me for a time such as this and to be one of the first people to receive and read this life changing book. This alone tells me that God loves me and he’s working behind the scenes to let me know he’s got this. Stop worrying.
This book is one of the best spiritual investments that you will ever make. It’s phenomenal, uplifting, calming, rewarding, breathtaking, motivating life manuals of 2014.
