How to make Tweet This Links for your Blog

Twitter is one of the top sites to receive and get news, even the President of the United States @realdonaldtrump is an avid twitter tweeter. 

Making your blog or website user friendly gets easier to do when you take time to learn some quick tricks.

“Tweet this” links make it easy to share your blog tweets.  When a user clicks on it they will be taken to their Twitter account with your message already filled in.

 Here are 5 easy steps to follow:

1. Think of the phrase or wording you want your readers to TWEET. Ex: “The Buck stops here” – TWEET THIS

2. Generate links go to http://www.blooberry.com/indexdot/html/topics/urlencoding.htm

  • Scroll down to URL Encoding Converter
    • In the white box – type in the information you want to be converted
      • example “the buck stops here”
    • Press Convert
    • Copy everything inside the box (the%20buck%20stops%20here)

3.  Paste the Last half of the URL encoder at the end of the following link-  http://twitter.com/intent/tweet?text=URL Encoder

4.   Go to: Google Url Coder: http://goo.gl/

  • Copy and paste #2 in the Google Url and Press enter
    • (i.e. – https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?text=Hurt%20people%2C%20hurt%20people%20@momsonthego2014&source=webclient
    • Click Box “I am not a robot”
    • Click Shorten URL – it will look like this (https://goo.gl/7jWv6h)

5.  Copy SHORT URL – Use this information in your website/blog – when someone clicks on the URL/Hyperlink, it will take them to their twitter page and they will press tweet to send the TWEET from your page.

Voila, now you have your very own “Tweet this” link.
