How did the Elf on the Shelf come to be? The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition with Brown Eyed North Pole Pixie-Elf
Created by Chanda Bell, The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition with Brown Eyed North Pole Pixie-Elf, an English, reading, and social studies teacher and stayed at home mom was in search of a way to make some extra money. Ms. Bell’s husband is also a teacher and didn’t have a huge income to speak. While at her family’s home one day she looked up and saw an elf on the shelf and it seemed to be staring back at her. She then got an idea that she discussed with her mom to write a story about the family elf. It started off with an idea of just writing a story about the family elf that’s been in their home just sitting on a shelf.
Ms. Bell never thought it would go to this level of stardom. Now, she’s working for Santa Claus each year.
When it comes to putting a parents creativity on display; it only takes a notion and an idea to put it all together The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition with Brown Eyed North Pole Pixie-Elf
Even though the story that Ms. Bell and her mom created was wonderful, they couldn’t find anyone to publish it.
We definitely here of this situation a lot.
So, what do you do when everyone is telling you it isn’t a good idea and it won’t work? Yes, you continue with your idea. So, Ms. Bell and her mom self-published Elf on the Shelf:A Christmas Tradition (light boy scout elf).
