Welcome to Moms on the Go. I’m So excited you are here with me. I created this blog with lots of things in mind. I’m a mom with a wonderful husband of 23 years; however, we’ve been knowing each other for over 35+ years. We have two wonderful children; who both has grown up into amazing teenagers YOUNG Adults. My passion is to help people. Whatever that entails is what you may witness within the plethora of stuff on my blog.
I hope you decide to do life with us. This means reading and contributing to what we have to offer. I’m excited to be a lifetime learner and blogger.
I apologize if a touch of ADD comes out a bit while I’m writing and you are reading. Have you ever read the book “Men are from Mars and Woman are from Venus?” If you haven’t then you must read it because you will understand me as God has made me.
A little background about my life, I am a Native Texan. I have a little Southern accent, but not too much because I’ve lived in California for 8+ years so I think I’ve adapted the lingo of the California Valley Girls. My husband and I were high school sweethearts. Yes, it really does last sometimes. The road hasn’t been easy, but we made it. We never went through the arguments in the first 2 years or our marriage that I always heard about. So, don’t believe everything you hear in the streets.
My hubby and I are very similar, yet so different. However, he doesn’t like to argue so I guess that’s good on my end. I grew up in a household that loved, but constantly fought all the time. My dad was an entrepreneur and my mom worked for one of the Top Trucking industries in the United States.
Unfortunately, they divorced back in the days when divorce was taboo. It gets really tricky after that so I think I will leave out the details for now. You may read a post about it later so don’t forget to sign up when you see that wonderful POPUP message that says, “Let’s do Life.” I have one sister and she’s my best friend when she finds time to answer my text messages
We don’t talk as much as I would like, but it is what it is at this point. Life goes on and people have other things that come up– I get it.
My mom passed away in 2006 and it was a very devastating time; however, God had set some things up in my life that would bring me to my knees and prepare me for the journey I would begin to take without the backbone of our family, my mom.
Nevertheless, my husband and I was introduced to a church after the sudden death and passing of our young neighbor, who passed away from Lupus. I know it was all set up by the Lord. We were baptized as a family and we absolutely love the Lord. Jesus Saves.
If you have any issues in your life and you feel an empty void, you might want to try Jesus. I don’t know where I would be without him. I don’t understand how anyone can live one day without having a relationship with Jesus. God will change you and everything about your situation. I guarantee it.
My favorite scriptures are:
- “God will never leave you nor forsake you” Deuteronomy 31:6
- “For God did not give you a spirit of fear, but of power, live, and a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7
I do hope you can do life with us. We want to be help to the helpless and hope to the hopeless..
We all need love and support and I pray this community will be that for you.
Love always,
Camilla
