Moms are extremely busy with life, kids, cooking, running errands, solving problems, etc. It is very important that we continue to put our relationship at the forefront of our lives. Our families are important and our daily to do list is just as important, but our husbands are more important than just about anything on our plate.
An excellent wife who a husband can find? She is far more precious than jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life. Proverbs 31:10
Why should I take my husbands phone call?
Our husbands are a different breed and they are a bit more sensitive to relationships with their family, especially, you–his wife.
In the past, I have been busy and tired numerous days when my husband has called. I have to admit that when I looked down and saw that it was JUST my husband I said, “Oh, it’s just my husband–I’m busy or I’m eating and I’ll call him later.”
Here are three reasons why you should answer when he calls:
- He may only want to hear your voice and say hello.
- He may have been approached by the office flirt and he decided to do what our pastor always preached in his sermons “RUN!” when you need to get away from an unwanted situation.
- He may want to vent to you about something that just happened at work and the first person he tries to call is YOU.
Guess what, if you are not there then he could just go to someone else. I’m not saying your husband is going to cheat, but what I’m saying is that they are men and men sometimes live in the flesh, as do we. Don’t give any open door to the enemy.
Next time your husband calls, ANSWER the PHONE.
